We haven't posted in forever!!! I have had 3 computer crashes this summer and posting has not been a priority until now. So here goes:
Curtis and Nikki are living in Alexandria, VA. and Curtis commutes to Bolin, Airbase in D.C. everyday for work. His day starts between 3am and 5am and he gets off work between 5pm and 7pm most days. But he still spends at least 2 or more hours every evening with the help of Nikki to prepare his uniforms for the next day. They are planning on driving down to see us around Thanksgiving. Bryan is planning to have Curtis's truck running by then so they can take it back with them.
Doug and Stefanie have moved to a nice apartment in Grant City. It has 2 bedrooms and is moderately sized. They live about 2 miles from the factory that Doug and Bryan work at. Stefanie has been called as a councilor in the Young Women Program in our branch. Doug is working with Bryan on programming the machine that uses router bits to cut out gun stocks.
Katy has had her drivers license for about 2 weeks now and got a job this Tuesday (July 22nd) at The Corner Deli on the Albany square. She will be working between 2 and 3 hours per day, from 11am to about 1:30 pm. She has been a great help to me. She drives Destiny to the pool and runs errands for me. She also helps me around the house and helps when we tend two little ones named Michael and Mia.
Destiny is doing great. She played softball again this summer and did well. She also took swim lessons two weeks ago. She passed level 4 and will be in Junior life guard training next summer.
Bryan and I are team teaching the youth class 2nd hour. Bryan is still putting in many hours at work. They have just purchased a robot that once it is programmed it will sand the gun stocks. Tomorrow they will get a second C&C Router and will begin setting it up.
I am still the councilor over education in R.S. I am making a dress for Destiny this week. I have been on an organizing spree for the past month or more. I have organized the school file cabinet, my sewing box, the screws, nails, and other whatknots that were in the junk drawer and utility room and the extra bedroom that is now a storage / toy room. The best part is that Gmom and Pop came up about a week ago and I asked Gmom to help me rehang a group of family pictures and she ended up redecorating ALL my walls in the den and livingroom and put up a few more also.
It looks GREAT!!!!
The girls and I have started back 2 subjects per day for school and will jump into the whole thing at the beginning of August.
